Discipline Rules
It is vitally important that changes in residence /office addresses and telephone numbers to be communicated in writing to the School office immediately whenever they occur
The School does not hold itself responsible for injuries sustained by pupils while in the School. However, first aid will be rendered immediately without delay.
Pupils are advised not to go for private tuition. Parents/ Guardians are urged to encourage their children to do their daily work diligently, honestly and to pay utmost attention to classroom studies.
Parents/Guardians or Students are forbidden to give gifts to Teachers in cash or kind directly or indirectly.
No parties nor gift presentations by Students or Parents/Guardians on birthdays or any other occasions of their wards or Teachers is allowed.
Collection of funds for whatever use, without prior permission of the Principal is forbidden.
Students shall not sell or take orders for any merchandise in School or in the name of the School.
Pupils are required to behave politely and avoid use of indecent language or actions injurious to the feelings of fellow Students, Teachers or others in the School or outside the premises. Any such behaviours indicative of hurting others caste, religion or community will attract serious disciplinary action.
No Student shall indulge in any of the following practices, namely:
spitting in or near School building except where provision is made
disfiguring or otherwise damaging School property
smoking
any form of gambling
use of drugs or intoxicants, except those prescribed by one’s doctor
rowdyism and rude behaviour
use of violence in any form
casteism and communalism
use of obscene language and causing hurt to the modesty of others
playing truant during classes
possession and use of phones/audio/video players
political canvassing/ meetings in School premises
possession of firearms / knives or lethal weapons
in-person or online bullying / harassment / blackmailing
In Teacher’s absence from the classroom, pupils are required to observe silence and obey the class monitor.
While traveling by bus before/after School hours pupils are expected to follow the instructions of the conductor/driver.
Fines, which may be deemed necessary to be imposed on the Students, are only to improve or to enforce discipline.
Pupils may be required to take part in various cocurricular and extra-curricular activities even outside School hours. When so required, participation will be deemed compulsory
Staying away from mandatory School functions, including annual day and sports day without prior permission and justification will be considered a breach of discipline.
English, being the medium of instruction in the School, Student must speak English even in their private conversations in the School premises.
Each Student’s safety is a major concern of the School. Therefore the following should be strictly observed.
Students will wear their identity card along with the School uniform,
Parents/Guardians of pre-primary Students are required to teach their child their own name, Parents name, address and telephone number,
if the child has to go to a place other than the usual one, a note from the Parents must be sent to School requesting permission and stating reason for the child to go to a different place after School.
Students are responsible to School authorities for their conduct, not only in the School but also for their general behaviour outside the School premises. Any report or observed objectionable conduct/action on the part of the pupils will make them liable to disciplinary action. It is expected that through their good behaviour they enhance the prestige of the School.
Students are not allowed to enter classrooms other than their own.
Any Student found travelling at odd hours with fellow Students in motorized vehicle without Parent’s/ guardian’s permission and without a proper valid licence will be liable for disciplinary action if this is brought to the notice of the School authorities.
The School is not responsible for books, money, clothes and other articles of Students that are lost. The pupils must look after their own things. It is not advisable for pupils to carry money or valuable articles to School.
Any pupil desiring to be exempted from PT or games must produce a Doctor’s certificate to the effect that he/she is physically unfit to take part therein
All letters and correspondence addressed to pupils are subjected to the scrutiny of the Principal.
Pupils joining the School excursion or participation in any School activity will do so entirely on the responsibility of the Parents/Guardians and at their own risk. They shall not swim or be away from the group during any School outing, camp, etc. without informing the Teacher concerned.
A progress report card showing the conduct and application of the pupil and the result of the examination is issued after each examination. In the interest of their children, Parents are expected to pay careful attention to these reports and return them duly signed.
The foregoing rules do not curtail or limit the powers of the Principal to take disciplinary action against the erring pupil. Any action so taken by the Principal shall be non justifiable and final, and binding on all parties concerned.
The School management is competent and authorised to add, alter, and to frame new rules and regulations with retrospective effect. This action/decision of the School management is final and non-justifiable.
Those who go home by themselves should reach home without loitering on the way. Students are warned not to buy specially eatables from street vendors.
No pupil is allowed to write on the black-board unless asked to do so by the Teacher.
Before leaving the class-room Students will pick-up waste paper and any unwanted material from the floor and put it in the waste paper basket, will leave desks and chairs in proper arrangement, will switch off lights and fans, will close the windows/doors. In general, the classroom will be left in a condition to be used again.
